DESCRIPTION OF THE MONUMENT TO THE LIQUIDATORS
OF THE ACCIDENT AT THE
CHERNOBYL NUCLEAR POWER STATION
Description of the monument to the liquidators of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power station (CNPS) represents a concrete stelaover 5 metres.
There is a bas-relief of the building of the nuclear power stationin the central part, already restored by the titanic labour of the Soviet people, took voluntarily part in it, among of them there are Balkhash people who went to liquidation for calling of the country and the heart.
In the foreground there are people in the special clothes and masks, unfortunately, not protecting against the penetration of radiation, are going to their watch, understanding the danger looming over them.
Above the building of the nuclear power stationthere is an arch symbolizing a sarcophagus, created over a destroyed nuclear reactor that has closed the spread of the nuclear threat to the whole world.
The white bird sitting on the arch is a symbol of purity and life. For the sarcophagus, there the world is clean from fatal radiation, thanks to the measures taken by the heroic labour of the liquidators of the accident. Black-and-white colouring of the painting reinforces all the tragedy of the event, against which the medal of the veteran of Chernobyl stands out, to which the government of Kazakhstan awarded the heroes of the liquidators of the accident on the very terrible catastrophe of our time.
